It was a cold winter morning in Falkirk, the kind that makes you question every plan made the night before. But this one? I’d do it again.

My partner and I were invited to visit the STS green farm, a place I had heard about, but never fully understood until I walked its grounds. Co-founder Sean Kerr greeted us warmly, his enthusiasm unmistakable, his mission undeniable. Despite the chill in the air, there was fire in his purpose.

As the Founder of DWAD Pro LTD, I viewed this visit not just as a tour but as an experience that reflects our core values: Diversity, Workmanship, Accomplishments, and Dialogue.

Our first stop was the solar plant a striking start. Sean explained how the farm generates its own power through renewable, eco-friendly means. I’ll be honest I don’t know much about solar technology or green energy, but Sean’s passion made it easy to understand the “why,” even if the “how” was complex. His ability to break things down, without ever being condescending, made the experience remarkable.

Then we walked into a cluster of timber-built houses, purposefully crafted for workshops and community events. These weren’t just structures they were statements. Self-sustaining, beautiful, and thoughtfully designed, they embodied what it means to build with nature, not against it. Sean noted they might benefit from eco-friendly insulation because at STS, nothing is ever static. Improvement is a constant goal.

Even the mini-kitchen section followed the green mantra: designed to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.

Next, we were introduced to the biomass plant, where timber and other by-products are heated through a precise process to produce various grades of biomass. Again, while the science was deep, Sean’s storytelling brought it to life.

What struck me was the link between the biomass and food production. We were guided into an enclosed greenhouse, shielded by a transparent dome. Inside, plants thrived in carefully monitored conditions, nourished in part by the biomass materials. This process allows STS to grow nutritious food for families across Falkirk and Scotland a powerful blend of innovation and community service.

From renewable energy to food systems, education to eco-tech, STS doesn’t just do sustainability, they embody its many branches. Their inclusive approach makes space for people from all backgrounds, including those like myself who walked in with limited knowledge and left with new understanding.

You see it in the precision of their energy systems. You feel it in the quality of the timber buildings. You hear it in Sean’s careful explanations. STS takes their craft seriously, blending science, tradition, and intention.

STS has:

Each of these accomplishments reflects a track record built on more than ambition, it’s built on results.

Every part of our visit was steeped in open conversation. Sean introduced us to his team, welcomed our questions, and shared stories of their journey. His humility and willingness to engage even the uninitiated shows how much STS values connection as much as conservation.

Sean isn’t the kind of leader who takes centre stage. Instead, he shines the light on others, his team, his community, the people who benefit from the work. And yet, his influence is undeniable.

He’s a rare example of vision + execution, a voice for sustainable Scotland, and someone who brings the DWAD Pro LTD spirit to life through every initiative he leads.

What I saw at the STS green farm wasn’t just land, plants, or eco-technology, it was possibility. It reminded me that sustainability isn’t just a buzzword or trend; it’s a way of thinking, building, growing, and giving.

As DWAD Pro LTD continues to advocate for creative solutions through Diversity, Workmanship, Accomplishments, and Dialogue, it’s clear that STS is a kindred organisation. And Sean Kerr? He’s not just leading a green initiative, he’s cultivating a movement.
